I, Jason D Curry, respect your privacy and am committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, and safeguarded when you visit this website, browse or purchase artwork, generate a Human Design report, book a chat, talk or type with Sol (the site's AI guide), or otherwise interact with this site. By using this website, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information I Collect

I may collect the following types of information:

Information you provide directly

• Name
• Email address
• Billing information
• Messages submitted through the contact form or any of the site's other message forms, along with the page of this site you sent them from, so I can see what prompted them. These forms offer an unchecked box to sign up for email updates; I only add you to the email list if you check it
• The page of this site you were on when you signed up for email updates (the page address only, kept with your sign-up so I can see what brought you to the list)
• Information provided when purchasing artwork or making a donation
• Birth date, time, and place, if you generate a Human Design report — used only to calculate your chart
• Requested time and an optional note, if you book a chat through the scheduling form
• Anything you type or say to Sol, the site's AI guide, including your voice if you choose to talk with it (see "Sol, the AI Guide" below)

Information collected automatically

• IP address
• Browser type and device information
• Pages visited and time spent on site
• Referral sources
• Cookie and tracking data
• Preferences Sol saves in your own browser, such as a first name you shared, interests, items you viewed, and whether you've been offered the newsletter (stored on your device, not in a cookie)

Payment information is processed securely through third-party payment processors (Stripe). I do not store full credit card numbers.

2. How I Use Your Information

I may use your information to:

• Provide and deliver digital artwork and downloads
• Calculate and deliver your Human Design report
• Set up a scheduled chat — creating the video meeting and calendar invite, and sending you the confirmation
• Process payments and donations
• Respond to inquiries
• Run Sol — answering your questions, showing relevant art, rocks, and projects, passing along messages and booking requests you choose to send, and welcoming you back on a return visit
• Send newsletters or updates (if you opt in)
• Improve website functionality and user experience, including reviewing Sol conversations to make Sol more accurate and useful
• Comply with legal obligations

I do not sell your personal information.

3. Email Updates

If you subscribe using the "Keep in Touch!" form or opt in to receive communications, you may receive occasional emails related to new artwork, updates, or content. You may unsubscribe from these marketing emails at any time by visiting the unsubscribe page and entering your email address. Unsubscribing only stops marketing email — transactional email tied to something you've already done, such as an order receipt or a download link, is not affected.

Links in these marketing emails (not order receipts or other transactional email) go through a short redirect so I can see which links get clicked, to understand what's interesting and improve what I send. Each click is recorded with which email it was in, which link, your email address, and the time — never anything beyond that, and never what you did after you landed on the page. I keep this indefinitely, so I can compare performance across newsletters over time. I may also store the newsletter's own content and who first joined through which page and how they found the site in the first place (a search engine, a link from elsewhere, or direct), so I can understand how people find the site — this is visible to me in an internal admin view, not published or shared.

4. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

This website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance functionality, analyze traffic, and improve user experience.

Cookies are small data files stored on your device. They help me:

• Enable essential site functionality
• Understand visitor behavior
• Improve performance

The site also uses your browser's local and session storage (not cookies) to remember your light/dark preference, your cart, your speed and pause choice for the falling-blocks animation on the About page, and, for Sol, your chat in the current visit and the preferences described below. You can clear this at any time in your browser settings.

Some cookies are necessary for the site to function. Others may be used for analytics purposes. I may use third-party service providers, including website hosting, analytics services, email providers, and payment processors, which may place cookies or collect information in accordance with their own privacy policies.

5. Third-Party Services

This website is hosted on Vercel. I may use third-party services for:

• Payment processing (Stripe)
• Email delivery (Resend)
• Video meetings, if you book a chat (Zoom)
• Sol's conversations — voice and text handling and the AI agent platform (ElevenLabs), which uses a third-party language model (currently Google Gemini) to write Sol's replies
• Reading my calendar availability, so the scheduling form only offers real open times (Apple/Google/Outlook calendars, read-only)
• Analytics and performance tracking

These providers process data according to their own privacy policies and security standards.

Guest Artist, linked from this site's Projects section, is a separate application with its own privacy policy — this Privacy Policy covers jasondcurry.com itself, not Guest Artist's own data practices.

6. Sol, the AI Guide

Sol is an AI assistant on this site. Sol is not a person and is not me. It can answer questions about the site, show artwork, rocks, favorites, and projects, and pass along a message or a chat request that you choose to send. Sol can make mistakes, and its answers are not professional, medical, legal, or financial advice.

What Sol receives and who processes it

• Text. What you type is sent to ElevenLabs, which runs Sol, and to the language model it uses to write replies (currently Google Gemini). To make replies relevant, Sol also sends them context such as the page you're on, where you arrived from, how many times you've visited, a first name or interests you've shared, and the last few messages of the conversation.
• Voice. The microphone is used only after you open the Talk tab, press Start talking, and allow your browser's microphone permission. While you talk, your audio is streamed to ElevenLabs to be turned into text and to generate Sol's spoken replies. Sol is set up not to store voice recordings; transcripts are kept by ElevenLabs for up to 30 days. Press End, or close the page, to stop.
• Transcripts sent to me. When a conversation with Sol goes quiet for a while, the site emails me a transcript of it: what you and Sol said, the items Sol showed you, the pages you visited, where you came from, and a first name if you shared one. It also notes any question Sol couldn't answer, whether you tapped the optional "Helpful?" thumbs, and whether you asked Sol to follow up with you by email. Before it is sent, and indefinitely afterward, the transcript is held in the site's database so I can refer back to it. I read these to improve Sol and to follow up if you asked me to. Using "Forget me" in Sol deletes the stored copy and cancels the email if it hasn't been sent yet.
• Forms inside Sol. A message, chat request, or newsletter signup you submit through Sol is handled exactly like the same form elsewhere on the site, as described in this policy. If you join the newsletter, or claim a free piece of artwork (which comes with the mailing list, as on the piece's own page), by typing your first name and email into the chat, that reply is sent only to the site's signup service, not to the AI, and the email address is masked in any saved transcript.
• Suggestions. The small suggestion bubbles Sol may show (for example, more art like the piece you're viewing) are chosen on your device from the site's own catalog. Sol shows at most three per visit, and none for two weeks if you dismiss one.
• Asking Jason to follow up ("get me an answer"). If Sol can't answer something and you ask it to follow up, the chat collects your email on your device (never sent to the AI) along with your question, and stores both in the site's database until I reply. I get an email with your question and a link to answer it. My answer is marked answered in the database right away, and a direct email to you is scheduled about 25 seconds out, not sent instantly. While your browser tab stays open, the site quietly checks every 15 seconds whether I've answered yet and drops the answer straight into the chat the moment it has -- pausing while the tab is in the background, and giving up after 30 minutes. If that happens while your answer email is still scheduled, it's cancelled so you don't get a duplicate; you only get the email if you weren't there to see it land in the chat. This isn't a live connection from me to you; it's your own browser checking in periodically, so if you've closed the tab it stops, and the scheduled email becomes the reliable way to get my answer. If I choose to save an answer to Sol's permanent knowledge, it's included only the next time I manually refresh what Sol knows, never automatically or instantly.
• "Email me these results." After Sol shows you a set of results, you can ask to have them emailed to you. That sends your email, name (if given), and the results shown to the site's email service, with an optional checkbox to also join the mailing list and an optional field to ask Jason a question (handled the same way as "get me an answer," above).
• Public statistics. The Sol Rising page (/sol-rising) shows trends and percentages built from Sol's conversation log, such as growth over time, which parts of the site chats start on, and how often Sol shows something or a visitor takes an action. It never shows raw visitor counts, anything you typed, or individual conversations, and the figures behind it are calculated and stored without the text of your messages. To compare Sol with my regular forms, the site also keeps an anonymous tally of whether a message, meeting request or list sign-up arrived through Sol or a regular form: just the type, where it came from and the time, with no names, emails or message text.

Please don't share payment details, passwords, or sensitive personal information (such as health or government ID details) with Sol.

What Sol remembers on your device

So Sol can welcome you back, it saves a small profile in your browser's local storage: your visit count and dates, a first name or interests you mention or enter into a site form, recently viewed artwork or rocks, and whether you've subscribed to or declined the newsletter. This stays on your device; I don't receive it unless you submit a form or it is included in a transcript as described above. Your current conversation is kept in your browser's session storage and cleared when you close the tab. You can erase Sol's memory at any time by opening Sol, choosing "Privacy & memory," and tapping "Forget me," or by clearing your browser's site data.

I can turn Sol off at any time, and Sol may be unavailable without notice. Sol is not directed to children under 13.

7. Data Retention

I retain personal information only as long as necessary to deliver purchased artwork or reports, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

Sol conversations: ElevenLabs keeps transcripts for up to 30 days. Transcripts held in the site's database are kept indefinitely so I can refer back to them, unless you use "Forget me" in Sol to delete yours, which I honor immediately. Any transcript emailed to me stays in my email until I delete it, and I will delete it on request.

Email click records (see "Email Updates" above): kept indefinitely for the same reason — understanding what's useful to share over time.

8. Your Privacy Rights (California Residents)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

• Request access to the personal information I collect about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your personal information
• Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal data (I do not sell personal data)

To make a privacy-related request, please email Loading.... I will respond in accordance with applicable law. To ask me to find or delete a Sol conversation, include roughly when it happened and the page you were on, since conversations aren't tied to an account.

9. Data Security

I implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information. However, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure.

10. Legal Notice & Intellectual Property

This website and all content contained within it — including artwork, images, text, graphics, downloads, and digital materials — are my intellectual property unless otherwise stated. Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, modification, or commercial use is prohibited.
